A SHOULDER TO CRY ON
- Tommy Page -
Why TP?
I told a friend today while I listened to the undeniably depressing yet entertaining Nirvana back in those days, I also listened to TP so that I'd have (girl)friends.
He laughed.
I was serious.
I had the album. Well, there were no CDs then, but in my possession I had, and may still have, the RM10 ORIGINAL cassette.
Looking at the bright side, I'm open to most music genres nowadays. TP saved me from being forever grim and bitter (if I look it, it's the Kurt sulk)
Recently, I even opened up to Britney Spears but alas, her affinity to mime in all her 'live' performances, bar none, puts me off. Credit to the musical genius(es) behind her comeback. I gave her a chance to at least act like she's singing, and she disappoints me.
If I had to put together my ultimate mixed tape, I'll probably include: -
1. Simon & Garfunkel - Sound of Silence
2. Joni Mitchell - The Circle Game
3. Marvin Gaye - Let's Get It On
4. The Beatles - Across The Universe
5. Abba - Dancing Queen (roller skates & disco ball galore!)
6. The Buggles - Video Killed The Radio Star (it really did)
7. AC/DC - It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)
8. Guns n Roses - Since I Don't Have You (alternative: Used To Love Her)
9. Prodigy - Firestarter
10. Sade - Smooth Operator
11. Gin Blossoms - Til I Hear It From You
12. KT Tunstall - Black Horse and Cherry Trees
13. Flo Rida featuring T Pain - Low (ultimate get-your-ass-up-to-the-dance-floor song)
So, there you go, a snippet of my musical journey. I'd run out of tape by now, but if there was any space left, which song should make the cut for No. 14 you think?....
As Ms Spears grunts and gyrates: "Gimme more!"

aiyah....anti-climax la kalau gitu....
A bit anticlimax lor but now for real, I would think U2, INXS or Aerosmith should have been there. And maybe even Nirvana ;) I think we will never have one cassette mix.
they're hidden tracks :)
