PERMANENT

- David Cook -

What I feared most happened. The attacks reached home ground. I was clearly wrong to think that it wouldn't. How does that make me feel? Deeply saddened. Shitty as hell. I refuse to believe that my neighbour would do such a thing, but perhaps I'm too naive.

What do our trusted authorities do? Tell the shocked rakyat that 'we don't have enough resources', wow, bravo!

How low can we go? Until the fire burns our homes, our ties, blood is shed?

Did I disappoint you
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without

My grandmother, who's been sick for a while (and who, by the way, does not read and does not speak Malay) never misses her daily prayers. She does it the way she was taught as a child, in Iban, as did her mother before her. If this is really happening, you go explain it to her because I don't know how.

I am so gob-smacked too. What is the real issue behind all these ugly acts?
