AIN'T IT FUNNY

1. The Curse of The Winter Sonata

I actually bought myself a Korean movie a couple of days back. Something I would never thought I'd do.

The title: Sad Movie.

First I was drawn to the title. Then I read the synopsis and decided hey, I should give it a try.

I mean, Korean dramas are well-known for their tear-jerking storyline and all. This movie I think is a heart-warming (and heart-breaking) one for you not to catch. The immediate comparison to an English version is Love Actually, minus the happy endings. It is after all, a sad movie.

If you're a couple; go watch it.

If you're single; go watch it.

Somehow, adding fuel to fire does actually help in the healing process.

2. Are You Serious?

Can you imagine how hard it is to actually get a season parking pass in KLCC? Very, very, very hard. So hard you won't get it anyway.

I thought it was just a matter of walking to the Parking Management Office, filling up a form and paying a certain amount of deposit. I was even informed that they've actually removed the waiting list as the queue is too long! So I asked for other options: there's Avenue K and Public Bank. I figured Avenue K would be great as it's nearer to the gym at Maxis.

Walked to Avenue K (hmmm...this would be a good daily morning brisk walk I thought) and guess what the guy behind the counter said?

"We don't give out season passes".

And at the glass partition, in bold, on a laminated pink piece of paper; "Season Parking To Be Settled By XXXX Every Month"

What The Eff??!!!

I had to ask again, making sure that he sees me eyeing the notice, "Are you (bloody) sure?"

The guy just nodded. With a suspicious smirk! Surely we were talking in the same language. I gave up asking as he insisted the 3rd time.

"Try Corus Hotel next door", he said.

Right. I might as well continue my season pass at Life Centre and walk to office; distance-wise, no difference! And I'll still be able to frequent the gym at the old place. Only downside is I'll have to start bringing an umbrella to work everyday. Better start looking for a nice one now. That transparent type suits me well, don't you think?

Need to look good under the morning sun, eh?
