WINDMILLS OF YOUR MIND
- Janet Siedel -

Except for the last few things I'm giving away to charity, I have all the boxes cleared now. It's a big relief. No more weekends spent unpacking.

Every now and then I sit on my old sofa, close my eyes, take a deep breath and when I open them, no more clutter, the books are orderly, the toilet's not leaking, even the corner plant's growing in agreement. It finally feels like home.

And yet it's empty.

I have tonnes of work to do and I have to sacrifice the weekend to be able to manage next week. That will keep me busy since there's nothing more to do on the house for now.

Charmaine's playing on the CD player and I'm just staring at the report that I started, I'm reading the same line more than ten times.

It's a Saturday. Work can wait.

Time for some HBO.

It always takes a lot of time to get from a house to a home, especially when moving back or moving to a new place. And as always, a woman's touch makes a big difference. I was looking at some old pics of when I moved in here and how my place has tranformed thanks to wifey. Anyways, now that things are settled, time to invite us to home warming ;)
