PARIS NIGHTS / NEW YORK MORNINGS

- Corrine Bailey Rae -

....start a story....

Once upon a time there was a field
Full of daffodils
With small teeth
And big eyes not like mine
The eyes freaked out a little boy
Who lived in a tree at the edge of the field
The grasshopper was cross because of the commotion and spilled tea
Angelina, Angelina, Angelina, Angelina
You gotta keep with the flow
Tsk tsk Angelina these days
What's the fun in that I said
Don't make 'em like they used to
You can go crazy with the flow
But it has to have a flow
Otherwise we just keep making random sentences
Follow the flow and there'll be no surprises
Like the boy nearly stepped on a grasshopper who got cross
And then bit the little boy's ankle
Injecting venom
This was a special grasshopper
Its mother was a cobra
Feel the flow
Like Happy Gilmore

Maybe I'm not Happy Gilmore
But I'm happy to watch....
