- Dmitri Shostakovich -
8.17 a.m. and the house is empty. They've all gone to church. I am home, still recovering. The car won't fit 6 of us anyway. My head's pounding, not because of the meds I'm taking, nor is it the flu anymore, but this deafening silence. Because of that, everything else is amplified: the wailing siren, the kick-start of a motorbike, the constant ringing of a bell of some sort (what is that?!), the splashing of water down below (somebody's trying to give a hippo a bath methinks), heck, for once there, I think I can even smell cologne.
I wish I could go hang out last night, after all, it's Halloween. But I didn't want to push it.
I wish I'm at the hills right now. But I don't want to push it.
I get sick too many times this year.
Then I read a note from Scott. Melancholy seems to be the theme of the day.
Thank goodness for Happy Tree Friends!

Hope you feel better soon... thanks for the tune - I love that song, one of my favourites alongside Brown Eyed Girl.
Checked out your library, and am downloading 'Talk to the Hand' on my kindle. Just finished 'The Funny Thing Is' by Ellen Degeneres. Happy stuff :)
