PEACHES AND CREAM

....thanks Kak Azah, Klev & Teoh for an unforgettable 3-hour breakfast/lunch/dinner/supper marathon. I think we've managed to create a few ripples at the restaurant but hey, we refuse to fake an accent so why should we be treated differently, right?....


We work hard, and so we eat hard....

The surprise birthday celebration was unexpectedly more fun than I imagined it would be.

What was initially planned as a normal weekend outing / (gym) club hopping quickly turned into a nice get together to celebrate Kak Azah's upcoming birthday today. I anticipated that I wouldn't have the chance to do it the coming week, due to the new commitment and all. We had the pleasure of having two very nice gentlemen with us, even if they're a bit bothered that they weren't warned beforehand (sorry guys) but they were sweet enough to say yes, albeit their very busy schedule.

It was small and simple, even Kak Azah didn't act surprised; due to my lack of planning I guess, but being amongst really good people and good company matters more. Everything else went against us; the food, the service, the bean points; but we laughed nonetheless.

First they forgot to punch in our order, the food that finally arrived late was already bad (thanks Klev for saving me from food poisoning), we had a trainee waiter whom we had trouble conveying our messages across, we even had a misunderstanding with the manager as we were about to pay the food! Luckily we had Teoh as our saving soul, insisted on getting the service we deserved (they didn't even offer a complimentary slice of cake!) 3 Espreskis, 2 ice teas, 4 glasses of water, 3 gourmet pies (one was a replacement), 2 pastas, one big breakfast plate and one basket of wedges shared among just the 4 of us. Boy, did we really eat!
